European Stone Festival 2024

I’m going to break the long radio silence to let you know that I participated in the European Stone Festival 2024, this year held in Budapest, Hungary, between the 25th and the 26th of May. It has been a great experience in which I learned so much from other fellow stonemasons. It has also been a great opportunity to do networking and know artists from all over Europe. The quality and the skills were top level and the winners were top-notch. Despite not winning, I was pleased to learn that all the judges gave me 8 points each, which is not that bad. I was the only Italian among many Hungarians, Germans, French and British, and that made it quite an interesting opportunity for the many Italian tourists to congratulate me and even to taking photo with me like I was some sort of a VIP! All the pieces were then sold at an auction and the raised money given to a charity.
